Happy New Year everyone!!! If you are looking to loose (the holiday) weight fast … these following tips will help you achieve your goal. As you probably already know there are many weight loss programs in the market that offer fast results, a high percentage of people who use these programs do notice fast results however as soon as they quit their diet and return to their old eating habits they start winning weight again. This should not be a concern for you as there are many good tips to lose weight fast and keep healthy habits in the long term.
Tip#1: Clear Your Mind
One important aspect of losing weight fast is to be in the right mental state. This means setting a reasonable goal about your ideal weight and being fully aware of the effort that will be involved to achieve your goal. This might look like a simple decision but trust me most people fail at this first step. Stay motivated and focus is the key here, you should be willing to take only the right decisions if you really want to lose weight fast.
It is tempting to jump into the first diet that promises fast results without knowing if this is the right type of diet for you. Everybody is different and what works for others might not work for you, some people literally try every diet in the books without noticing any significant results, this of course contributes to a feeling of discouragement and they finally give up on their losing weight dreams.
Tip#2: Smart Training
Despite of what is commonly believe when it comes to training weight lifting exercises are more important than cardiovascular training in order to lose weight fast. Building muscle can potentially help you burn more calories than any other aerobic exercise, even when you are not training your muscles continue working which can double the benefits of your exercises and therefore lose weight faster.
Appropriate nutrition should always come together with the right exercising and donโt forget to dedicate a small portion of your time to cardiovascular training, although it is not as effective for losing weight it is still a good exercise to maintain your body and heart healthy.
Tip#3: Be Aware Of How Your Metabolism Works
Your metabolism is controlled by the endocrine system its main function is to control all the nutrients that enter your body and regulate stress. If you eat processed food, sugar and sodium, you are jeopardizing your weight loss as your body will not be well regulated. Extreme dieting can also be dangerous and not recommended at all.
Also, don’t forget to enjoy life, live a little and focus on your goals.

I love tip 3! My metabolism has changed so much after having 2 kids. I never expected it to change!
I would love to workout more this spring. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love these tips and that you don’t make it all about eating less or only specific foods. It really is about your mindset, understand how your own body works and training RIGHT. Great post!
Love this. I have been struggling the last 6 months since having baby #7 to lose what I need to, and this will be so helpful!
Great tips Angela! Two and three are so important, and your metabolism can change (especially during a pregnancy or after kids!)
These are great tips! I will have to pass this on to my husband! We are working out together and I think we just need to stay more consistent!
These are absolutely informative and helpful especially the metabolism part. All of us have different metabolism. Yes just focus on your goal and live and enjoy your life.
My biggest advice for weightloss and then maintaining it is consistency. Being consistent with your diet and workout have been the key to staying fit foe 14+ years and two kids later.
Clearing your mind is an important tip. We often sabotage our own weight loss success by over thinking the process.
Some great ideas, at the present I wished it was just that easy but being on steroid therapy and having other health issues, losing weight is a struggle, not a walk in the park.
It’s definitely about having your head all clear – and being aware of everything, from how much your moving on certain days to your cycle and your meals (portions and nutrition). It’s always the whole package that you have to consider I find and the ‘awareness’ always seems to work for me:)x
I really enjoy exercise classes at the gym but never seem to stick at it long term, finding excuses not to go. I think you have to find a level that you’re happy and confident with to stick at if. I’m thinking I might use apps/YouTube to help me exercise so I can do it in the comfort of my own home.
These are great tips! I definitely need to focus more on these tips so that I can lose weight too. Swimsuit season is coming!
We often overlook the fact that our metabolisms change as we age. I need to keep a journal to figure out what foods affect me the most.
I love that you included metabolism in there. So many people compare diets and exercise regiments with each other without understanding that different metabolisms react differently. What works for me for instance doesn’t seem to work for my MIL yet everytime I lose weight she asks me what I did & everytime its the same thing.
